Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FileKit: PDF Editor & Reader ("we," "our," or "us"), developed by NEXORA LABS (the "Developer"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is designed as a local, offline-first tool, meaning we prioritize keeping your documents and personal data strictly on your device.
1. Information Collection and Use
A. Personal Data
- No Account Registration: You are not required to create an account, register, or log in to use the App.
- No Personal Information Collected: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or contact list.
B. App Categories and Local Offline Processing
All features and operations in the App are organized into four main categories. All files, documents, images, and texts processed by these categories are handled 100% locally on your device with zero upload activity:
- PDF Tools: Includes offline PDF utilities such as viewing, converting (images/text to PDF, PDF to image/text), merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, deleting/extracting pages, page size adjustments, Bates numbering, page comparison, local signature signing, stamping, and local OCR (text extraction).
- Image Tools: Includes offline image utilities such as compression, resizing, cropping, rotating, mirroring (flipping), format converters (JPG, PNG, WebP), color adjustment filters, watermarking, and collage grid creation.
- Text Tools: Includes offline text utilities such as character/word counters, case converters, space/line cleaning, and text-to-image/PDF exporters.
- File & Utility Tools: Includes offline file utilities such as ZIP compression, ZIP extraction, file renamer, and file size/extension validation checks.
C. Zero Cloud Storage
Your files, photo inputs, signatures, and document contents are never uploaded to any remote servers, cloud infrastructure, or external databases owned by us or any third party. Your files remain 100% under your physical control.
2. Device Permissions
To enable core features of the PDF and Image editing tools, the App requests access to the following device features:
- Storage (Read/Write External Storage): Required to select PDF files or images from your device for processing, and to save modified files, new PDFs, and signatures back to your device storage.
- Camera Access: Required if you choose to take a photo directly within the App to convert it into a PDF or use the text recognition (OCR) tool. Photos taken are processed locally and never stored online.
- Internet Connection: Used solely by third-party services to fetch and display ads. The App's core PDF/Image processing tools operate fully without an internet connection.
3. Third-Party Services and Analytics
To keep this App free, we display ads using Google AdMob. These third-party services may collect pseudonymous device identifiers to serve relevant, personalized, or non-personalized advertisements.
Below are the links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the App:
Data collected by these third-party services may include:
- IP Address: Used to estimate general geographic location (country/city).
- Device Identifiers: Ad ID (such as Google Advertising ID or AAID).
- Ad Interactions: Impressions, clicks, and interaction duration.
4. Google Play Data Safety & User Rights (Data Deletion)
In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements:
- No Server Storage: We do not collect or store user files or personal data on remote servers. Consequently, we do not maintain a server-side database of your information.
- Data Deletion: Since no user data is uploaded or stored on our servers, there is no personal data to delete.
- Advertising Data Controls: You can reset or delete your Google Advertising ID at any time via your Android device's settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads) to clear your advertising history.
- Data Security: All communications with third-party SDKs are encrypted in transit using secure HTTPS.
- Inquiries: For any questions or data safety inquiries, you can contact the Developer directly at dakshkanani200@gmail.com.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy)
Our App does not target and is not designed for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently received any technical information from a child, please contact us immediately at dakshkanani200@gmail.com, and we will delete it.
6. Security
We take the security of your local data seriously. Because your files are stored locally, security depends on your device's security. We recommend protecting your device with a secure PIN, screen lock, or biometrics to prevent unauthorized physical access.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
